Do You Have a Convict Ancestor?

Between 1788 and 1868, more than 162,000 convicts were transported to Australia and New Zealand from England, Ireland and Scotland. The convict records and sentencing reports can often contain a rich source of information about your ancestor.  Here’s a link to get you on your way to discovering more on your convict ancestor: http://www.slq.qld.gov.au/info/fh/convicts
